Degree in Psychology at the Universidade de Sao Paulo-USP , yoga teacher since 1990 (trainings in Brazil and India), certified Somatic EMDR Practitioner. Teaching yoga groups in Europe since 1998 and owner of the Shanti Om Yoga Studio in Munich until 2022.

Already during my studies at the university my main interest was the connection between body and mind. I studied several body-oriented forms of therapy such as bioenergetics and dance therapy. When I tried yoga for the first time in 1987, it was like a deja vu experience. I had found something that was already very familiar to my body. Since then I have loved yoga and it has become part of my daily life.

I completed a yoga teacher training in 1990 with the well-known yoga instructor Ana Teresa Rodrigues, who gave me a solid foundation in asanas. Over the years I have explored many other ways of practicing yoga: Asthanga, Hatha, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Sivananda, Power Yoga. Today I teach my own style of Vinyasa Flow Yoga with influences from yoga therapeutics. In 1992 I traveled to India for the first time to deepen my yoga. I was in search of"something more", in search of myself. This journey was a turning point in my life. It took me to the Osho Ashram in Pune. There I learned many new meditation techniques as well as various forms of therapy, which inspired me both personally and as a psychologist. The ashram opened up so many opportunities to be in silence, to meditate, to be creative and to celebrate life with people from all over the world who had set out for new shores in the presence of an enlightened master. I am forever grateful to Osho.

In recent years I have rediscovered my love for psychological insights and, following my EMDR certification, I integrate somatic work and tools into the private sessions. I am happy to offer this knowledge and my intuition to you.

I am deeply inspired by the teachings of  Dr. Gabor Mate (Compassionate Inquiry) and many other great teachers like Dr. Arielle Schwartz, Dr. Peter Levine, Dr. Richard Schwartz, Tara Brach , Dr. Deb Dana. Much gratitude to all my teachers!

And above all, I am deeply grateful for all the blessings I receive sharing my life with my beloved fellow traveller Akal and our beloved son Lucas.
